CPR Educators is delighted to offer the option of tradition classroom learning or an online blended format which combines in person hands-on skills instruction with online learning.
Please contact us for onsite group pricing. Classes are always tailored to your individual needs. All classes are done in a relaxed setting to insure all students are able to receive the knowledge, skill, and confidence to be successful in an emergency situation.
Heartsaver CPR AED
Heartsaver CPR AED Courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
This Cousre will teach you adult and child CPR and AED (Automated external defibrillator) use, infant CPR, how to relieve chocking in adults, children, and infants, and first aid. Students receive an American Heart Association completion card that is valid for 2 years.
Course Content includes:
- How high-quality CPR improves survival
- The Chain of Survival
- Recognizing when someone needs CPR
- High-quality CPR for an adult, child, and infant
- How to perform CPR with help from others
- Effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
- How to use an AED on an adult and child
- When and how to help a choking adult, child, and infant
Infant and Child portion is optional. Class time runs 3-4 hours. Maximum of 9 students per class.
Cost of 55$ per student includes all training material and 2 year certification from the American Heart Association. This cost does not include the American Heart Association student manual. Students may purchase a manual from American Heart Association.

- The key steps in first aid
- Removal of protective gloves
- Finding the problem

- When and how to help a choking adult, child, and infant
- Use of an epinephrine pen
- Controlling bleeding and bandaging
- Recognizing elements of common injuries
- How to find information on preventing illness and injury
- Legal questions that apply to first aid rescuers
- How high-quality CPR improves survival
- The Chain of Survival
- Recognizing when someone needs CPR
- High-quality CPR for an adult, child, and infant
- How to perform CPR with help from others
- Effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for Child Care workers. The class is perfect for teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, coaches, parents, grandparents, and babysitters.
Course content includes:
- Controlling Bleeding and Bandaging
- Using a Tourniquet
- Shock
- Internal bleeding
- Burns and electrical injuries
- Allergic Reactions
- Using an epinephrine pen
- Breathing problems
- Dehydration
- Diabetes and low blood sugar
- Heat-related emergencies
- Cold-related emergencies
- Drowning
- Amputations
- Bites and stings
- Broken bones and sprains
- Eye injuries
- Bleeding from the nose
- Fainting
- Head, neck, and spine Injuries
- Penetrating and puncturing injuries
- Poison emergencies
- Seizure

Basic Life Support (BLS)
BLS is for healthcare professionals. This course teaches single rescuer and team basic life support skills that are applicable to both pre-hospital and in-facility emergencies. The class will involve simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations.
Course content includes:
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- BLS components to the AHA Chain of Survival
- Effective ventilation using a barrier device
- Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation
- Importance of being an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign body airway obstruction for adults and infants
- Written exam and skills testing
Class time runs 4 hours. Maximum of 9 students per class.

Friends and Family
Family & Friends CPR is a great option for anyone who wants to learn CPR but does not need an American Heart Association completion card to meet a job requirement. This Cousre will teach you adult and child CPR and AED (Automated external defibrillator) use, infant CPR, how to relieve chocking in adults, children, and infants, and first aid. There is no testing in this class but there is lots of hands on practice. The course is perfect for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and anyone interested in learning how to save a life. There is no size limit on this class and it can be tailored to meet your needs. Students will receive a certificate of completion.
Online Blended Learning
The American Heart Association blended learning courses give you the flexibility of online learning with the benefit of hands-on skills practice and testing with an instructor. BLS, Heartsaver CPR AED, and Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED can be completed in this format. After successfully completing the online Part 1, and Part 2 the hands-on skills practice and testing with an instructor, you will receive your 2 year certification from the American Heart Association. Please contact me for instructions on accessing the online learning and to schedule your hands-on skills practice and testing. Medication Administration
All licensed child care providers who administer medication are required to successfully complete the state approved Medication Administration training every 3 years. This course curriculum was developed by Healthy Child Care Colorado to help child care providers safely administer medication. Qualistar Colorado maintains the database of child care providers who are current with their state approved medication training. As well as the database of the approved medication administration RN and MD trainers.

- Safe handeling and storage of medication
- Administration of Oral and Topical medications
- Emergency medications for server allergy
- Inhaled medications
- The required medication authorization and documentation
